Travel Diary #2
Napoli

Top - Topshop
Shorts - Matalan

We stayed in the Hostel of the Sun right on the harbour of Naples so it was thankfully easy to find which is always a relief when you have a rucksack. It was a really friendly, chilled out hostel that's staff were really helpful in giving us the best advise on where to go in the city. Our first night they told us to head just past the harbour to a spot where Peroni was two for €3 and you could sit along the beach front listening to a free salsa festival. Naples couldn't have started off any better.
The next morning we set out for Pompeii, again through the better advise of the staff used public transport and just bought an entry ticket and audio set to reduce the cost of a guided tour, paying in total around €23. Pompeii itself was incredible, it is a really difficult concept to get your head around but overall well worth the visit.

Caio, next stop Rome.

Travel Diary #1
Sardinia

Bikini - F&F
Shorts - H&M
Rings - H&M

Olbia in Sardinia was the first stop of our 4 week adventure around Europe. We wanted to start the trip with a chilled out beach break and had been advised to go to Sardinia. The beaches did not disappoint, they were beautiful in particular Porto Istana (the beach pictured above).
To get to Porto Istana you would either have to take a bus or get a taxi. As we are travelling for 4 weeks on a budget we had to take the number 5 bus which was €1.50 for 90 minutes or you could get a weeks pass for €10.
Sardinia is a beautiful place by day however at night I personally felt it was a little too quiet for me with only a limited variety of bars and restaurants. So if you are ever thinking of heading over there, pack plenty of sun cream to make the most of the day and be prepared for an early night.

Caio for now, next stop Napoli.

Wireless

Playsuit - Band of Gypsies (asos)
Boots - New Look
Bag - Primark
Turban - River Island
Necklace/Arm Cuff - eBay
Rings - Shop Dixi/H&M

Wireless was definitely an adventure. It was mine and my friends first time visiting and it is safe to say that we are all in agreement to return next year. In that one day we made so many hilarious memories that I'm sure we will never forget, as when the four of us are together we are always in our element. Way. Too. Sassy. All of the acts were amazing, topped off of course by Kanye himself!

Note to self: next time I go to a festival, do not wear a playsuit. The porter loo trips were a lot more difficult than necessary but I had fallen in love with the Band of Gypsies playsuit. I liked its relaxed, slightly baggy shape combined with its simple detailing, such as the tassels that hemmed the leg. My necklace and arm cuff were such a bargain as I only paid £3 for both of them. Nevertheless the turban has to be my favourite accessory overall mainly because it is a fun alternative to the typical flower garland or having your hat stolen every five minutes.

Thank you Wireless, see you next year, Fobolicious.

Boats, Hoes and Kimonos

Kimono - Primark
Top - Topshop
Shorts - Vintage
Sandals - Primark
Bag - New Lool

Well what a lovely day today has been. As the sun was shining me and a few of my girl friends thought it would be the perfect excuse to head over to Stratford for a bite to eat and squeeze in a quick boat ride. The motor boat hires are only £20 so between you it is a cheap and fun way to split up the day.

I've been looking for a maxi kimono for a while but just wasn't willing to fork out for one so imagine my delight when a stumbled across this gem for £10 in primark. I mean I've got to admit sometime it kind of feels like your wearing a cape at first but once you get past that its fine. I just stuck to simple monochrome garments for underneath as even though it doesn't look like it I was hoping to catch even the tiniest glimpse of a tan! It was a pathetic attempt but with only three weeks left until I'm off travelling again, every ray counts!

Travel Diary #2
Venice (Islands)

Crop top - Topshop
Skirt - MissGuided
Sandals - Primark
Sunglasses - Primark

After a perfect first day of drinking, eating and sightseeing around central Venice, for our second day we decided to explore some of the surrounding Islands so we caught the fifteen minute vaporetto (public water bus)over to Lido as it is the cheapest way to travel, a one way fare being $7 or a day pass $20. We initially headed to Lido beach and managed to stumble onto the private sector. The beach huts were stunning and really resembled a Hawaiian style. From there the rest day consisted of tapas and plenty of drinks, my favourite place being Villa Laguna a place located right on the sea front where you could enjoy drinks with a view on a beautiful all white terrace.

Our next stop was Burano. I fell in love instantly with its overwhelming beauty in regards to its boldly coloured buildings, fixed with rustic shutters, surrounded by Venetian canals. The food was equally as impressive, Da Romano Osteria Alle, greeted us with a glass of prosecco and followed with the nicest selection of seafood and pastas. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are ever in the area, try a bowl of muscles!

Thank you Scott for the perfect 21st birthday present x
